Our mandate
The Western Cape Office of the Consumer Protector is mandated to act as a consumer protection agency within the province by virtue of the provisions of national and provincial legislation, Western Cape Consumer Affairs (Unfair Business Practices) Act.

Who may lodge a consumer complaint?
A person
Acting in the public interest (amicus curiae/leave of tribunal or court association, acting on the interests of its members).
A person
Acting as a member or in the interest of an affected group or class.
An authorised person
Acting on behalf of another.
