Two-day Thusong Programme Forum Meeting: Strengthens service delivery across the Western Cape
The Department of Local Government’s Directorate for Service Delivery Integration successfully convened the Thusong Provincial Forum (TPF) from 27–28 November 2025 in Lamberts Bay, within the Cederberg Local Municipality.
This two-day engagement brought together provincial and local government representatives, Thusong Service Centre managers, and partner departments, all united in their commitment to enhancing integrated service delivery across the Western Cape. The Forum provided a valuable platform for collaboration, reflection, and strategic planning to enhance the accessibility and effectiveness of government services for communities throughout the province.
Purpose of the Forum
- Strengthen collaboration between all spheres of government involved in Thusong Service Centres.
- Review progress on centre operations, outreach programmes, and service delivery integration initiatives.
- Identify gaps and develop solutions that enhance access to information and services for communities, especially in remote and rural areas.
- Share best practices and provide updates on national and provincial priorities affecting Thusong centres.
The Service Delivery Integration Directorate extends its appreciation to the Cederberg Municipality for hosting the Forum and to all departmental representatives for their active participation. The collective commitment demonstrated over the two days reinforces our shared goal of delivering accessible, integrated, and people-centred services to the communities we serve.
