Minister Sileku and PRASA regional manager to take train ride from Fish Hoek to Cape Town
As part of Mobility Month celebrations, the Western Cape Mobility Minister, Isaac Sileku and PRASA Western Cape Regional Manager, Raymond Maseko, will embark on a train trip from Fish Hoek to Cape Town Station on Monday, 13 October 2025, between 07:00 and 08:30.
The train ride highlights ongoing efforts to promote public transport and strengthen collaboration between the Western Cape Mobility Department and PRASA in the Western Cape, with the goal of improving passenger rail services across the province.
During the trip, Minister Sileku and Mr. Maseko will engage directly with commuters and officially launch PRASA’s “50 Free Rides” initiative, aimed at encouraging more communities to return to rail. The free ride tickets will be activated from Tuesday, 14 October 2025, and will be available to commuters on selected routes.
