Western Cape Government to launch Phase 3 of Jobseeker Travel Voucher Programme

The Western Cape Government will officially launch Phase 3 of the “Getting You to Work” Jobseeker Travel Voucher Programme.

First introduced in February 2024, the programme provides unemployed jobseekers in Cape Town with free travel vouchers for use on Golden Arrow Bus Services. This initiative aims to remove transport costs as a barrier for jobseekers attending interviews and pursuing employment opportunities.

To date, the programme has assisted more than 24,000 unemployed residents across Cape Town. Phase 3 will extend the reach of the initiative to support even more jobseekers.

Western Cape Mobility Minister Isaac Sileku will deliver remarks at the launch, alongside officials from the Mobility Department and project partners.
