Excellence in Grade R Teaching

Ms de Vries has been teaching for 19 years and is a very passionate teacher who goes above and beyond in her innovative approach to play-based learning. She embraces diversity and accelerates communication with all stakeholders to enhance learning opportunities.

She has a thorough knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning strategies and applies them to provide multi-sensory, learner-centred learning experiences for her learners.

She creates opportunities to bring the real world into her classroom and provides opportunities for excursions with a direct link to the CAPS content and skills. She values professional development and lifelong learning.
